Are You Praying?

Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me
so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which
I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly as I should.
-Ephesians 6:19,20

As a Pastor's wife I was really struck by something the last few weeks. I have been almost overwhelmed by the need for us to bathe our Pastors in prayer every day. They have such an amazing need for God's wisdom on a daily basis. I have seen Bill wrestle with very difficult "people" issues, very consuming budget issues and the need to know that he is leading Willow Community Church in the way that God would have it to go both from the platform and everyday.
I know that Dave deals with very similar struggles. Along with the challenges of ministry, they also deal with the normal issues of being a husband, friend, son and dad ( to be!).

I don't think there can be enough prayer for these men. I hope that you are making it a point to lift them up on a regular basis. You should also know that you are in their prayers also as you work to grow and to draw people to the truth of Jesus Christ.

We are so blessed to have Pastors that love the Lord and seek to obey Him in everything that they do! Take time to let them know that they are in your prayers!
