Wow! Time flies and kids grow up quickly! My oldest daughter, Cassie, started high school today! She went from eighth grade in a small charter school to ninth grade in a large public high school. I know she was really nervous and I was really good and didn't cry when she left to catch the bus! I did tease her that I was going to go down to the bus stop and take her picture getting on the bus like I used to when she rode the bus in first grade. She didn't think that was a good idea for some reason!
As a Mom, I am comforted in knowing that God loves her more than I do and He is watching over her today!
Cassie
She was a beautiful, bald, brown-eyed baby.
She was my parent's first grandchild and the first baby in our group of friends.
She was the cause for tears of joy that flowed for months after her birth!
She was the "church baby" at Centerville Community Church.
She was the little girl who always wanted to wear a hat.
She was the the funny girl who announced to everyone in Walmart, "I'm nakeee!" from her dressing room so all of the store heard!
She was the smart kid who would say her alphabet for a dollar at the family Christmas party.
She is a talented photographer.
She is an evangelist who has a deep desire for her friends to know Christ.
She is the last one to get a joke!
She is a strong leader.
She is a truly beautiful person inside and out!
I am amazed by her and I am so very proud of her!
I Love You, Cassie!
Usually I end my post with, "I have so much to learn!". But today I am glad to say that I have already learned this lesson. I have given my kids to God and I know He has a plan for them and is watching over them. It is definitely a good feeling to let Him be in charge!
