Ask And Believe

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."

James 1:5,6

I am so thankful for God's promise of wisdom. I know there are times when I find myself in a situation where I don't have any answers. I have done all that I know to do and the problem is still looming in front of me. I can't always count on myself or other people for wisdom, but God promises I can always count on Him!

I love how these verses tell me that not only will God give me wisdom, but He will give it generously and without finding fault. This reassures me that I am His child and He loves me no matter the predicament in which I find myself.

God does give me some responsibility in my situation. I am told to ask for wisdom, but then I am told that I have to believe and not doubt. I have to take Him at His word. I have to trust Him! He is in charge!

I don't know how people who don't know God can function in a difficult time in their lives. I can't imagine trying to do life without Him! I need my Father God to hold my hand and lead me down the narrow road that I have chosen to travel no matter how scary it may be!

I have so much to learn!

You were really, really wise about 20 years and 3 months ago!

It has been very cool to see how God has worked in your life over the last 22 years. I think the wisest thing I ever did was ask you to marry me.

I love you, babe!
