This past Monday evening was one of the sweetest times spent with fellow believers in prayer that I have ever experienced. There were ten of us that walked our way through every area in our church and prayed for the ministry that goes on in that area. We prayed for the fellowship of our church, the children, the youth, the PIN ministry, the leadership of our church, Pastor Bill, Sunday morning worship and our property as we reach out to our neighborhood.
It was so evident how much this group of people love God and our church. The vision for reaching our community was also very evident. There wasn't a dry eye in the group. The Bible tells us that where two or three are gathered, God is there. He was definitely among that group!
Bill kept saying, "This is not our church, this is God's church." That is really hard sometimes. It is hard not to take ownership of the ministry. The desire of our hearts is that everything that is happening at Willow Community Church is to glorify God and draw people to the truth of Jesus Christ.
It is hard to describe the vision that Bill and I have for Willow. God keeps refining it and revealing how it is supposed to be accomplished. We have had hours of discussion and prayer about where God is leading Willow and what His plan is for its future. All we know for sure is that we are willing to do what it takes to accomplish this vision. There has never been a wavering in that call.
On Monday evening we also discussed the fact that Satan hates the fact that we are pushing toward the goal God has set out for us! Spiritual warfare is not a fairytale. It is more real than any of us comprehend. Christ has won the ultimate battle over Satan, but we must continually fight the daily skirmishes. We must put on the armor of God and be ready to fight!
I feel so honored to be a part of a group of believers who have such a vision and desire to obey God. I count it a privilege to suit up for battle with them! I can't wait to see what God has in store for Willow Community Church and its people! It is a great adventure!
I have so much to learn!

Amen Kim,
What an awesome prayer night at Willow. The love for God, Willow Church and all of mankind was so evident. Tears were plenty. Praise for what God has done and for what we hope will be done in the future. The Lawson family has made the transistion to Willow Church so easy for me. I love you guys and the Lord so much. Kim, we all have a lot to learn
Gloria
